Matt Miller, a native of the New Orleans area, is a graduate of ICE (formerly the Peter Kump Culinary School) in New York City, and has worked in professional kitchens around the US. He holds a Master's Degree in Languages from the University of Louisiana, and is proficient in six languages. He currently lives in Kunming, Yunnan, China, where he is learning Chinese and studying Asian gastronomy. He is also a university lecturer.
